Roll up! Roll up! Experience the sights and sounds of the Crush Festival’s newest event Crush Carnivale, with internationally renowned Moving Pictures, Circa Crush, 31 Acts in 30 Minutes by Circa, Pub Rock Choir and so much more.
The classic Moving Pictures line up of Alex Smith, Andy Thompson, Charlie Cole, Ian Lees, Mark Meyer and Garry Frost are back together again and coming to Bundaberg for one big summer show.
More than thirty years after the release of their hugely successful debut album, ‘Days of Innocence’, which spawned the mega hit ‘What About Me’, Moving Pictures will be taking to the stage to show their fans, both old & new, why they were known as one of the best live bands to grace the stages of Australian clubs and pubs throughout the eighties.
See an amazing high flying performance from the Circa Crush Performance Team at this year’s farming themed contemporary circus production. Through a year-long training program with Brisbane’s Circa Training Centre, local young people with gymnastics, dance or performance experience have been training hard to bring this show featuring tumbling, hoops, silks and a triple trapeze to the Carnivale. They will be joined on stage by performers from Circa’s Brisbane youth ensemble Circa Zoo. The show will be fast paced and enjoyed by audiences who are inspired by the amazing talent of our region’s young people.
31 Acts in 30 Minutes
Wherever Circa has taken its breathtaking, heart stopping show, audiences have flocked to see the impossible happen. Watch as intrepid acrobats battle the clock. Marvel at the astounding ways they bend, fly, juggle and balance. Be dazzled by their skills.
Circa is Australia’s most innovative circus and 31 Circus Acts in 30 Minutes is its all time favourite family show. Fast, furious fun for everyone. Set to upbeat music and featuring four multi-skilled performers, this is circus without the boring bits.
31 Circus Acts in 30 Minutes has been performed in over 26 regional performing arts centres across Australia, at the Noosa Long Weekend, Gladstone Sunfest and Brisbane Festival Spiegeltent and internationally at the Brighton Dome, Oxford Playhouse, PuSh Festival in Vancouver, the Seattle International Children’s Festival and at Victoria’s Intrepid Theatre, Canada.
Pub Rock Choir
Pub Rock Choir is a celebration of music formed by community demand. People from all walks of life come together on a fortnightly basis to relearn songs that they know and love (who knew that was the actual lyrics!) in a pub environment. Whether singing professionally or simply in the shower, the choir members are all banding together to create great harmonies to their rock favourites.
Led by our passionate choir masters, the group has continued to grow in numbers and confidence and will eventually aspire to the greatest of all songs ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’; but until then will grow their music repertoire and new friendships.
With over forty members, the choir welcomes everyone to join in and sing along to their favourites. Featuring such modern classics as ‘You’re the Voice’ by John Farnham, ‘Hey Jude’ by The Beatles and ‘’Happy’ by Pharrell Williams, the choir’s music is as diverse as its membership.
