Explore techniques of telling a single story or story experience across multiple platforms and formats… and discover the ways that different formats can shift the perspective and experience of a story.
Cindi Drennan is a digital media artist, creative director and founder of illuminart, and brings a mulit-disciplinary approach to the writing and storytelling process. During this workshop you’ll discover how your existing creative, writing and storytelling skills can be employed to expand stories into new media forms, and how teams collaborate to build multi-disciplinary and multi-platform projects. The workshop will include examples of projects from theatre to interactive sculpture and virtual reality, with some enjoyable hands on processes to help get you thinking creatively and inspired to explore new forms.
This workshop runs for 2.5 hours. Ticket price includes morning tea. Lunch will be available for purchase.
Cindi is the founder of illuminart, one of Australia’s leading projection art companies, known for award-winning Architectural Storytelling projects and interactive projections. She is a passionate creative audiovisual artist and director who loves the transformative qualities of light, the magic of animation and the power of story, and has been bringing these together in illumination and projection arts since 1997. Cindi’s skills and crafts include producing and devising, collaboration and cultural leadership, curating and project management. She supports festivals, companies, communities and councils to create and present large scale events and cultural projects, bringing stories to light around Australia in all forms from theatre to film and spectacular events.
