The Travelling Film Festival is the year-round tour of the Sydney Film Festival. Started by David Stratton in 1974, it is Australia’s longest running travelling film festival, showcasing Australian and International features, documentaries and short films across the country and has been coming to Bundaberg since 2000.
Like the Sydney Film Festival, TFF Bundaberg aims to offer something for everyone, whether you are a casual film-goer or a committed film enthusiast, we are confident that the program has a film for your taste! The program comes direct from Sydney Film Festival and includes many cinematic gems that played to sold-out theatres across the Festival in June this year.
Working in partnership with the Bundaberg Regional Council and the Crush Festival each year, the Travelling Film Festival is committed to providing audiences in regional Australia with access to films they would otherwise not have the opportunity to see on the big screen. The TFF presents cinema in a festival environment and promotes a film experience that encourages debate, community involvement and interaction.
In addition to screenings, the TFF presents opportunities to meet film industry professionals through its film industry guest and workshop program. The TFF facilitates a direct and invaluable dialogue between regional audiences, local film practitioners and Australia’s wider film community, an opportunity enthusiastically embraced by both parties.
With affordable ticket prices and great discounts for multiple ticket purchases, the festival offers access to these great films from just $8 a session. For more information and to sign up for a program please visit www.sff.org.au/travelling-film-festival/
